What Size BBQ?
Consider the size of your outdoor space, how many people you typically cook for, and how often you plan to use your BBQ grill. A smaller grill may be suitable for a small family or apartment balcony, while a larger grill is better for big gatherings. Ensure the grill fits your space, has enough cooking surface area, and can accommodate larger cuts of meat if needed.
Here is our general guide to cooking area sizes based on the amount of people you will be cooking for:
4 people or less: up to 1800cm²
4-6 people: 1800-2500cm²
8+ people: 2500cm²
Additional BBQ Features
Here are a few other features to consider when buying a BBQ:
Lids & Hoods
A BBQ lid helps to trap heat and smoke, allowing the food to cook more evenly and imparting a smoky flavour. It also helps to retain moisture, making the food more tender and flavourful.
Side Burners
A BBQ side burner is useful for preparing side dishes or sauces while grilling, allowing you to cook everything in one convenient location. It's also helpful when preparing dishes that require different temperatures or cooking times than the main grill.
